Magnesitas Navarras took part in the final of the 13th Tournament of the Autonomous Community of Navarra – Great Prize Magna 2018, held last Sunday at the Jai Alai court in the Esteríbar sports centre in Zubiri.

Jorge Baños, the Deputy Director, took part in the prize giving ceremony and gave the Txapelas (Basque berets) to the winners of an exciting match. At the end of the match, tribute was paid to Koteto Ezkurra, the Remonte player from Navarra, who will shortly retire after a 28-year career.

The tournament, which is sponsored by the company, was held in benefit of the Association for Support to Childen with Cancer of Navarra (Adano).

Magnesitas Navarras has been supporting Remonte on an ongoing basis since 2006, showing its commitment to a sport that originated in Navarra and that boasts a history that stretches back more than 110 years. In this way, the company has helped to promote this type of Jai Alai and to give it continuity, “committed to upholding the traditions of this land”.

In addition to support for sports activities, initiatives of this type fulfil a corporate goal: “to help associations who work in favour of the most vulnerable, such as the case of children with cancer in Navarra”.
